Website Terms and Conditions of Use
Acceptance of Terms and Conditions of Use
DoTopia is a giving engagement program that provides users with an online solution to designate charitable grants to 501(c)(3) organizations. By activating or otherwise using DoTopia and DoDollars, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions of use (“Terms and Conditions”). You understand that DoTopia, (“DoTopia”) and its subsidiaries and vendors and partners make available online information and services to users of this program.
Changes to the Terms and Conditions of Use.
You acknowledge that these Terms and Conditions may be modified at any time. All changes are effective immediately when we post them. Any changes will appear on this page. It is your responsibility to refer to these Terms and Conditions prior to using DoTopia. You will be deemed to have accepted any change to these Terms and Conditions if you register, use or continue to use DoTopia after that change has been posted here.
Users must be U.S. residents and at least 18 years of age to participate. By activating or otherwise using DoTopia, you are indicating that you are 18 years old or older and you are a resident of the United States.
Registering for DoTopia
In order to access the online features you must create an account and register on the DoTopia website (“Site”). When you create an account or register on the Site you must provide accurate and complete information (including but not limited to username/email and password). DoTopia will use this information to create your account and provide you with program information and access. Any change made by a registered user is the sole responsibility of the user. DoTopia does not permit the sharing of your username or password any other person. If you believe someone has accessed your DoTopia account without your authorization, please contact DoTopia Customer Service:
Online: E-mail email@example.com. A customer service representative will respond to your email within the next business day.
Using the Site
Your DoTopia account provides information for DoTopia to direct grants to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations as directed by each user. The payee must be a valid nonprofit entity qualified as a public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (“Qualified Charity”).
Users must direct the DoDollars (grant funds) before the expiration date noted in the user communications. DoTopia is an advocate for, and serves, active givers. If we determine that your account has not been active for a period of 18 months (e.g., logging in, making a donation, making an advised donation from your account, or receiving amounts in your account through donations by a corporation), DoTopia reserves the right, as determined in DoTopia’s sole discretion, to close your account and distribute your inactive balance to: (a) to one or more organization(s) that have previously received distributions from your DoTopia account, as long as such organization(s) still satisfy the criteria set forth above; or (b) to a charity of Dotopia’s choice.
DoTopia will make every reasonable effort to contact the account holder via e-mail prior the end of such 18 month period and encourage him/her to engage in some activity on the account. If the account holder does not respond, DoTopia may terminate the account and distribute the account balance to one or more organization(s) that satisfy the criteria set forth above.
DoTopia is a qualified 501(c)(3). As such, donations can be immediately recognized by the Donor for tax purposes. DoTopia provides tax records, not tax advice.
All donations are irrevocable and non-interest bearing.
The Site offers up-to-date information on Qualified Charities through a partner organization. Certain entities such as public schools do not typically seek qualification under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code but are in fact eligible for DoDollars grants. If you are interested in making a DoDollars grant to an entity you believe to be an eligible charity, please contact customer service (firstname.lastname@example.org) to learn more about the method of qualifying such entity on the Site. This information is believed to be accurate during the time of publishing, and DoTopia is not liable for any inaccuracies.
DoTopia may suspend, change, or stop a service or any aspect of the Site at any time during operation, including but not limited to merchant information, databases or other content without any prior notification or liability, especially, but not solely, to comply with any local, state or federal laws, policies and regulations.
E-mail Policy and Communication Preferences
DoTopia reserves the right to e-mail you with information essential to your participation in this program (for example, information on lost passwords, DoDollar designation confirmation, etc.) You will not have the option to opt-out of e-mails of this nature.

This fee is charged to the charity recipient of the grant. DoTopia reserves the right to change the amount of the administrative fee at any time.
Under certain conditions, these administrative fees may be paid by sponsors of certain corporate, or partner giving programs.
